The Journey to Stupendous Man #4: Kenji Sojuto and the Road Ahead

Hello to all my dedicated readers and fellow enthusiasts of the "Stupendous Man" series!

The journey to crafting the fourth installment, "Stupendous Man #4: Kenji Sojuto," has been nothing short of tumultuous and enlightening. Here's a dive into the behind-the-scenes:

The Inevitable Delay

I want to start by addressing the elephant in the room: the delay in releasing this chapter. My plate has been more than just full; it's been overflowing. For one, I was in the throes of publishing "Full Metal Exosuits: The Crimson Dragon," and with the novella "Shado's Sacrifice" set to release soon, it's been a whirlwind of editing and promotional activities.

But beyond the world of fiction, life threw a few curveballs. My son had to undergo surgery (he's recovering well, thanks for all the love and support!), and now both my wife and I are looking at surgeries too. It's been an emotionally charged and demanding period, but my commitment to the series has never wavered.

The Black and White Decision

Many of you have raised eyebrows at the switch to black and white. Here's the scoop: "Stupendous Man" was always envisioned in a monochromatic world, with special moments captured in color. The intention was to emphasize the dramatic and thematic essence through color bursts. The first issue was colorized due to some unforeseen circumstances, leading me to color the next two. However, let me reassure you all that the full issue WILL be released in color in due time!

Introducing Volume 1 & the Tankobon Edition

In the realm of exciting news, I'm thrilled to announce the creation of the first volume, covering the inaugural five issues of Stupendous Man! Not only will this volume provide readers a chance to dive deep into the narrative, but it'll also include a riveting bonus side story that I've been itching to share.

For those who enjoy traditional manga, we're crafting something special for you. This volume is undergoing a transformation into traditional manga style (right-to-left), capturing the essence of the genre. And yes, while the initial edition will be black and white, it’s a nod to the manga world and to the original intent of "Stupendous Man."

And for those who've been following the storyline closely, here's another tidbit: my aim is to wrap up the Super City Arc by the end of next year. The adventure continues!

Your support and understanding have been the wind beneath the wings of "Stupendous Man." Here's to the next chapter and many more exhilarating adventures with Kenji Sojuto!

Stay Stupendous!
